Curtis Main, who has recently played for St Mirren in the Scottish Premiership, started his career with Sunderland AFC. When the procedures for his deal were finished, Main Stated:

“I’m very excited and honored to be part of such a great club. I had a few conversations with the manager and I really liked how they went. He has a great reputation and has thus far done an excellent job at the club and hopefully I can come in and build on the success. I’m looking forward to joining the team, and getting started in front of the passionate fans that I’ve heard so much about.”

Hailing from South Shields, Main achieved a remarkable feat by becoming the youngest player to represent Darlington. He achieved this milestone when he was only 15 years and 318 days old, coming off the bench during a League Two match against Peterborough.

After his time at Middlesbrough, Main went on to have stints at Doncaster Rovers and Portsmouth. During his tenure at Fratton Park, Main showcased his talent by scoring five goals, contributing significantly to Portsmouth’s promotion to League One in his very first season. Blues’ head Coach Simon Grayson Said:

“He did very well last year for St Mirren and is a whole-hearted striker who works extremely hard for his team, has good hold-up play and will be a valuable asset.”

“He was desperate to come to India, despite having the opportunity to sign longer contracts in the UK as he wanted a new challenge.”

After joining Aberdeen in 2019, Main played for the Dons for two seasons prior to joining Shrewsbury Town in 2020 and returning to England.

Main is Bengaluru FC‘s second international acquisition, after Montenegrin center-back Slavko Damjanovic. His name was earlier announced by the Blues.
