The 12th season of the cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL) will commence on March 23. The homegrown domestic Twenty20 league will see eight franchises battling it out for the ultimate goal i.e. to win the title.
However, when we look back at the previous seasons of the tournament, they are remembered as evenly fought, as all teams had their fair shot at the title, at one point or the other.
That’s how the #VIVOIPL Points Table stands after the league stage. Congratulations to @SunRisers @ChennaiIPL @KKRiders & @rajasthanroyals for making it to the TOP 4. An exciting final week awaits. pic.twitter.com/Mc5FTT4eH6

Done with the points table, did you just check this a year-back tweet?
This is what I love about the #IPL. The points table gives you no indication of who is likely to win.

True, isn’t it?
Well, the beauty of IPL has somehow been that despite some of the biggest names in the game in the fray, the top performances have often come from little-known young domestic cricketers and we hope for some more top-notch performances, this year too.
And just before you go, take a quick look at this one:
The last spot on the points table to Delhi Daredevils every year.
