The IPL 2024 Auction is scheduled for December 19 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, marking a historic move as it ventures beyond India for the very first time. Franchises are required to submit their lists of retained players by November 26, as reported by ESPNcricinfo.

According to reports, the IPL 2024 auction will see each team having a salary purse of Rs 100 crore, marking a Rs 5 crore increment from the purse allocated in the IPL 2023 player auction.

The IPL 2024 auction is scheduled to coincide with the India vs South Africa 2nd ODI at St George’s Park in Gqeberha. Meanwhile, Australian pacer Mitchell Starc is poised for a return to the IPL, expressing his desire to participate in the upcoming season.

During the ongoing TATA IPL trading window for the 2024 season, Romario Shepherd, who has previously played four IPL matches representing Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Sunrisers Hyderabad, has been transferred to Mumbai Indians (MI).
