RCB started the match in second place, but this defeat hurt their chances, causing a significant drop in their Net Run Rate (NRR). As a result, they fell to third place, with the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Punjab_Kings">Punjab Kings</a> (PBKS) now tied on points but ahead because of a better NRR. <p>SRH, despite being eighth in the points table, surprised everyone with a solid performance, claiming their fifth win out of 13 matches. <a href="https://www.kreedon.com/ishan-kishan-biography">Ishan Kishan</a>&#8216;s standout performance, despite struggling since his century, contributed significantly to their strong total.</p>

<p data-pm-slice="1 1 []">After the match, RCB’s temporary captain Jitesh Sharma acknowledged that the team didn’t perform well enough during their 42-run defeat to Sunrisers Hyderabad. He spoke candidly to Cricbuzz, saying, <strong>“I think we gave away 20 to 30 extra runs, and I honestly don’t know how we ended up losing from that position. We were a bit rusty and lacked intensity.”</strong></p>
<p>Even with the loss, Jitesh did find some silver linings, especially in the way the team has been batting lately. <strong>“In a way, it’s good to lose this game now. We are showing that we can bat well,”</strong> he mentioned. <strong>“This setback will help us regroup and come back stronger in our next matches.”</strong></p>
<p>Jitesh filled in as captain because the regular leader, <a href="https://www.kreedon.com/rajat-patidar-stats">Rajat Patidar,</a> could only play as an Impact Sub due to an injury. Jitesh himself scored a quick 24 runs off 15 balls, but his wicket triggered a collapse, with RCB losing their last five wickets for just 15 runs. This defeat not only affected their Net Run Rate but also raised questions about their ability to stay calm under pressure as the playoffs get closer.</p>
