The budget for each team will increase to Rs. 100 crores from Rs. 95 crores during the prior campaign. Each player’s three-year contract is set to expire this year, and a massive auction is planned for the following year. The IPL auction will be placed outside of India for the first time this time. The BCCI had intended to host the auction in Istanbul last year, but it was eventually moved to Kochi.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK), the incumbent champions, will be ready to defend their Indian Premier League crown. MS Dhoni and Co. have freed their great all-rounder Ben Stokes, along with other players such as Pretorious, Ambati Rayadu, and others, with the hopes of winning the Cup for a record sixth time. CSK’s primary goal has been to release ailing players and invest in young players who will serve the Yellow Army in the next few years. CSK has released Ben Stokes, Dwayne Pretorius, Ambati Rayudu, Kyle Jamieson, Magala, Senapati, Bhagath, and Akash ahead of the IPL 2024 auction.

Chennai Super Kings have released eight players in total. They have six overall spaces left, three of which are designated for foreign players. The most significant departure for the Chennai Super Kings will be all-rounder Ben Stokes. The English players have opted out of the IPL 2024 due to concerns about workload management and health. Stokes is expected to need surgery for his broken knee and will require time to recover from the procedure. The Yellow Army purchased the great player in IPL 2023 for a whopping 16.25 crore and is now prepared to invest in other players, with Rs 32.2 crore remaining in their purse.

The Gujarat Titans have taken tactical decisions for the forthcoming IPL 2024 mini-auction. They have retained important players like Shubman Gill, David Miller, Rashid Khan, and Mohammed Shami. However, they have said goodbye to nine players from their 2023 team, including title-winning skipper Hardik Pandya. In a crucial decision, the team had to sell Pandya while retaining key players from their IPL 2023 runner-up side. They’ve also secured the return of Kane Williamson, who was injured last season. Pandya’s departure leaves a significant void in the team’s makeup. Furthermore, the release of various fast-bowling possibilities, such as Alzarri Joseph, Yash Dayal, Shivam Mavi, and Pradeep Sangwan, needs an emphasis on strengthening their bowling department.
