The Match 40 of VIVO Indian Premier League 2019 will see Rajasthan Royals welcome third-placed Delhi Capitals at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Having suffered a disappointing first half of the season, the Royals are steadily showing signs of revival. They have won two of their last three matches and with Steven Smith the captain now, things are looking way optimistic in the Rajasthan camp.
Talking about optimism, Delhi Capitals are not far behind. Traditionally being an underperforming team, new owners and identity seem to have worked well for them this season. Although they still haven’t confirmed their Playoff qualification yet, one would be surprised if the Capitals don’t make it there.

RR vs DC Dream11 Prediction
Rajasthan Royals made a stunning comeback last season by making it to the Playoff spots after winning only 3 matches of the opening 9. Coincidently, they are an identical situation this time around.
Handing Steven Smith the captain’s armband from Ajinkya Rahane made an instant impact as the Australian smartly guided the team to a 5-wicket victory over Mumbai Indians. In fact, the captainship role also brought the best of him, as he scored 59* to win the Man of the Match award.
Although the team is playing well, the Rajasthan Royals will still have a gargantuan task of winning the games. Their English stars – Jos Buttler, Ben Stokes, and Jofra Archer have all been recalled for the 5 match ODI against Pakistan. All of them have been RR’s best performers in the respective category and their absence will leave a big void in the team.
Ashton Turner, who shone for Australia on their tour of India, will be replacing the emphatic Jos Buttler. Liam Livingstone can also come in to fill the spot, considering Turner has not had the best of IPL starts. West Indian bowler Oshane Thomas will come in for Jofra Archer. Kiwi spinner and T20 specialist Ish Sodhi will take the last foreign spot in the team.
This is a different season for Delhi Capitals. Having traditionally languished in the bottom half of the table, they have been one of the best performing teams in IPL this year. The owners’ insistence on backing young, domestic talent is finally paying dividends. Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, Axar Patel all are having an impressive season while Prithvi Shaw is showing signs of revival.
Delhi emerging as v dangerous side. Have mercurial batsmen and bowlers who can transform a match as seen tonite. Now beginning to win at home too. Well done!

Veterans Shikhar Dhawan and Ishant Sharma are making the difference with their performances as well. In fact, they are one of the fewer teams in the league who are less dependent on foreign stars to win matches. This will be especially effective once international players start returning home for the preparation of the upcoming ICC World Cup 2019.
Although Rajasthan Royals have started to get momentum in the league, the absence of Jos Buttler seriously weakens their batting order. DC is better placed to win this contest.
The Sawai Mansingh Stadium has a slow pitch with scores not expected to cross 160. Thus, choose between 3-4 batsman. Openers are highly recommended. Spinners will enjoy success today. Choose them along with a couple of pacers.
