The Match 49 of the VIVO Indian Premier League 2019 will see Royal Challengers Bangalore welcome Rajasthan Royals at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. After losing 7 of their opening 8 games, RCB is making an unexpected turnaround in the league. Although they are out of the contention for the top 4, as Virat Kohli rightfully pointed out, RCB will be playing for fun.
On the other hand, seventh placed Rajasthan Royals are still very much in the race for the top 4, although they will have to win all their remaining matches preferably with big margins.

RCB vs RR Dream11 Prediction
Rajasthan Royals defeated playoff contenders Sunrisers Hyderabad by 7 wickets to keep their hopes for the top 4 alive. It was a clinical performance from the home team, having won the toss and selected to bowl first. The victory was even more sweet because of the fact that it had come without the presence of the English trio who had been the standout performers for RR this season.
With top wicket-taker Jofra Archer not around, the domestic pacers took upon the responsibility to scalp wickets. Jaydev Unadkat, who has been under intense criticism for his skyrocketing economy rates, turned up with a Man of the Match performance with figures of 2/26. Ironically, the Saurashtra captain also had the lowest economy rate of 6.50. The rising Varun Aaron, one of the finds of IPL – Shreyas Gopal and West Indian Oshane Thomas – all had 2 wickets apiece as RR restricted SRH for a modest 160/8.
The batsman then executed their job of chasing the target. While Sanju Samson topped the scoresheet with an unbeaten knock of 48 runs, it was an incoming Liam Livingstone who stole the limelight. The 25-year-old Englishman scored a sublime innings of 44 runs from 26 balls to help his team’s cause. It is refreshing to see the domestic players stepping up in the absence of international stars.
Rajasthan Royals have the required momentum and if they keep on performing the way they are doing right now, no one can stop them from making it to the top 4.
Rajasthan Royals are more than capable of winning the match against RCB.
Although the Chinnaswamy stadium is not necessarily the highest scoring pitches around, it has proved to be one in the last few games. Choosing 4 batsman would, thus, be enough. Spinners will have a bright evening considering the pitch’s dry and slow surface. Yuzvendra Chahal and Shreyas Gopal would be our choices here.
