MI vs DC Prediction
The Indian Premier League match between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals will be an interesting battle between experience and young energy. One one hand, Mumbai Indians, with an average age of 26.5, have won three titles. On the other, Delhi Capitals, with youngsters like Prithvi Shaw, Shreyas Iyer, and Rishabh Pant, don’t have anything but high spirits to show for.
.@MahelaJay: When we got Malinga in the auction, Sri Lanka Cricket gave us his availability schedule. The (domestic) tournament wasn't a part of that.— Mumbai Indians (@mipaltan) March 23, 2019
There's a conversation to be made. Once we get through that conversation, we'll know frankly what's happening.#CricketMeriJaan
However, things have gotten tricky for the hosts, with leading wicket-taker, Lasith Malinga opting out of the first few IPL matches along with Adam Milne, and Jason Behrendorff. While they will be on the lookout for a replacement to the injured New Zealand pacer Milne, Mumbai would hope that Malinga returns as soon as possible. Moreover, it will take some time for the local favourite Hardik Pandya to settle back into the squad having witnessed a couple of breakdowns in the last year. That apart, Mumbai Indians look pretty settled and raring to go.
Delhi Capitals, however, look the team to beat this season. Experience is what they fell short of in the last edition. Nonetheless, they made it a point to bring in experience in the form of Shikhar Dhawan and Ishant Sharma. On paper, they look a very balanced side. Add to that the absence of any injury, and Delhi Capitals would be a tough nut to crack- like the last year, when they defeated Mumbai twice.
If there is one team we would like to put our money on, it has to be Delhi Capitals.
