KXIP vs SRH Dream11 Prediction
Kings XI Punjab have had a mixed season with a three wins balanced out by a couple of defeats. Although there is no glaring problem with their team, KXIP do struggle with inconsistency- sometimes with the willow, other times with the ball.
Like in the 28-run defeat at the Eden Gardens, their bowlers failed to restrict KKR batsman as the total crossed 200-run mark. In KXIP’s latest defeat against CSK, it was their batsman who failed to chase the moderate total of 161.
With Chris Gayle reportedly fit-again, the management will have a tough call whether to include him or the wonder-kid Sam Curran. Or would both of them play simultaneously?

Sunrisers Hyderabad has been a force to reckon with in the first four matches. Riding on the form of Jonny Bairstow and David Warner, SRH twice breached the 200-run mark to show their batting might.
However, their dependence on both the players means that they are in trouble if neither of them has a good outing. Take the match against Mumbai Indians for example. Their batting lineup fell like a pack of cards after Warner (15) and Bairstow (16) had been dismissed early. They eventually bowled out for only 96 runs.
Another worry for the Sunrisers would be the dismal form, Rashid Khan. The Afghanistan leggie was IPL 2018’s second-highest wicket-taker at 21 wickets with a strike rate of 19.42. However, this season, the 20-year-old has managed only 4 wickets in five matches at an average of 30.00.
Although the incredible form of compatriot Mohammad Nabi (7 wickets from 3 matches) has not brought Rashid’s underperformance to the fore, the young spinner should soon start to get wickets.
Head to Head
SRH have traditionally been the dominant forces against KXIP, winning 9 of the 12 matches played. They also have a good record of winning 4 of the 5 matches played at the Mohali Stadium. The only defeat came in their last meeting when Kings successfully defended 193 runs. David Warner has been the top-most run scorer against KXIP with 423 runs. He can be banked upon to perform tonight. Amongst bowlers, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, with 18 wickets, is the pick among the bowlers.
Choosing a winner between KXIP and SRH will be tough call considering one enjoys the home advantage while the other is stronger on paper. Thus, most of it will depend on who wins the toss. If KXIP can win the toss and chose to bat first, their chances of winning the fixture would be high. Vice versa with SRH.
Your team selection should depend more on the way toss turns out. Try to choose 2-3 batsman, preferably from the team batting first, along with 1-2 middle order batsman from the chasing team. Choosing maximum bowlers from the defending team would be recommended.
