KXIP vs MI Dream11 Prediction
Kings XI Punjab would look to bury the disappointing 28 runs defeat at the Eden Gardens and start afresh with the season’s first home match. The biggest letdown for the team was in the bowling department.
The KXIP bowlers let KKR reach a massive total of 218 in the first innings, and quite frankly, half the match had been lost there itself. The Indian bowlers – Mohammed Shami (1/44), Varun Chakravarthi (1/35), and Ravichandran Ashwin (0/47) – particularly had an off day, with all of them conceding 11.00+ runs per over.
In contrast, Andrew Tye (1/37) and Hardus Viljoen (1/36) played their part well. If KXIP is to perform well on Saturday, they will need to shore up their bowling attack if they are to beat an in-form MI team.
The absence of a sixth bowling option is hurting #KXIP badly. Something they will have to live with and something that was apparent with the balance of their squad.

On the batting front, KL Rahul has been the most out-of-form-batsman players for the Kings so far. He was dismissed for 1 run in the first two matches. If the wicketkeeper-batsman has to have even a remote chance of being selected for the ICC World Cup 2019, he will have to shore up his performances pretty quickly.
Elsewhere, domestic prodigies Mayank Agarwal and Sarfaraz Khan have played their parts pretty well.

With the return of Lasith Malinga from international duty and Jasprit Bumrah from a shoulder injury makes Mumbai Indians a solid team to beat. They were impressive both with the bat as well as the ball in the match against RCB.
Rohit Sharma (48) and Quinton de Kock (23) gave the visitors a swift start before Suryakumar hit a timely 38. Yuvraj Singh gave moments of nostalgia for the fans gathered at the Chinnaswamy Stadium by hitting three consecutive sixes. He looks to be in the mood to hit hard this season. However, the one missing the link for the blue brigade is the absence of good No. 3 batsman.
Kieron Pollard has been out of form in the national shirt and he is not being as effective for Mumbai as well. Ewin Lewis could be handed a chance in his place on Saturday.
@mipaltan should really rest Kieron Pollard. He has lost the charm he had back then. Performing in one match and failing in other 4 isn’t helping at all. MI should really look for some alternative and give chance to young talent #MIvsRCB

The thing that needs a bit of tuning for Mumbai is the bowling department. MI bowlers have not been very economical in the first two matches. Against Delhi Capitals, they conceded 213 runs followed by 181 at Bengaluru. Although replacing the expensive Rasikh Salam with Mayank Markande was a good move, swapping Ben Cutting with an unfit Lasith Malinga almost backfired in the last over for MI.
The Sri Lankan pacer conceded 47 runs in four overs and had the umpires caught the no-ball offence on the last delivery, the outcome against RCB may have been different. It will, thus, be interesting if he would be handed an opportunity with another pacer – Alzarri Joseph – incoming.
Talking about a clear winner, Mumbai Indians will surely grab the weekend’s thriller. They are well balanced on paper and have the required depth to go the distance.
Considering that it is a batting pitch with an average of over 180 runs, choosing more batsmen would be advised. Try to choose big-hitting batsman like Chris Gayle, David Miller, and Rohit Sharma. The inclusion of Yuvraj Singh would also be recommended considering this is has been his home ground for so long. The team bowling first will have an edge on a fresh pitch. Try to make bowling changes in the squad in this aspect after the toss.
