KXIP vs DC Dream11 Prediction
Kings XI Punjab had an impressive homecoming as they defeated an in-form Mumbai Indians by 8-wickets. After the battering at KKR, the team made a single change in their line-up, with Varun Chakravathi made way for Murugan Ashwin. That move worked as the latter was the best bowler in the KXIP jersey.
He grabbed two crucial wickets of Suryakumar Yadav and Yuvraj Singh to derail Mumbai’s hopes of posting a big total. Moreover, his economy-rate of 6.25 was also the best amongst his colleagues.

However, the story of the match was KL Rahul’s match-winning knock of 71* that single-handedly won the match for the Kings. Rahul had been under immense pressure in the first couple of matches, having been dismissed for a mere 1-run on both the occasions. Nonetheless, after Chris Gayle had been dismissed early on, he needed to stick around build a partnership.
And the Indian wicket-keeper did exactly that. Rahul focused on collecting singles and letting his partners at other end do the hitting. Mayank Agarwal played a great cameo with an important knock of 43 runs from just 21 balls. Apart from their apparent struggles in the spin department, the team otherwise looks good to go.
DC
Delhi Capitals had a blockbuster win at home against a highflying Kolkata Knight Riders. The hosts were in the driver’s seat in the first innings having reduced KKR to 44/4. However, their inability to dismiss Dinesh Karthik and Andre Russell proved to be costly as the two took KKR’s total well past 180.
Nonetheless, DC’s batting, which has been their primary strength this season, again rose to the occasion with Prithvi Shaw the leader. Although the Mumbai youngster was unfortunate to miss his century by a single run, his innings helped DC draw the match.
Iyer, with 43 from 32, also batted well. Kagiso Rabada then utilized all his experience to help the hosts win the second match in three games in the epic super over.
DC’s batting is undoubtedly their biggest strength. However, if they can elevate their bowling performances, they can be the team to beat.
Predicted Winner
Since both the teams are so similar on paper, it is difficult to predict a winner between the two. Nonetheless, it feels that DC may have an edge here considering their superior depth.
Dream11 Hint
Traditionally, the team batting first have had a clear advantage on the Mohali pitch. Thus, it is advised to change the squad according to the outcomings of the toss. Moreover, try to choose batsmen who can stick around and play sensible innings as Dinesh Karthik and KL Rahul did on Saturday.
