Prediction for KKR vs SRH
KKR will be looking to pick things where they left last season- a 14-runs Qualifier defeat at the hands of Sunrisers Hyderabad. Except for that disappointing outcome, they had been impressive under the inspiring leadership of seasoned campaigner Dinesh Karthik who took the reigns from Gautam Gambhir. The veteran Stumper-batsman led from the front, collecting 498 runs and finished as the team’s top scorer.
Like Karthik, SRH captain Kane Williamson also outperformed his teammates with a stunning display of willow. Coming in as a replacement for the outgoing David Warner, Kane ended the season with a haul of 735 runs, winning him the Orange Cap. His able captaincy also meant that SRH went as far as the finals, only to be beaten by the eventual champions CSK.
However, Hyderabad have dealt with a massive blow after Kane Williamson was ruled out of the initial few matches wing to a shoulder injury that he caught against Bangladesh. Nonetheless, the return of David Warner will be a huge boost to the team’s underperforming batting.

Talking about injuries, KKR are the most affected of the two. The team from the east have lost Mavi, fellow U-19 World Cup winner Kamlesh Nagarkoti along with the South African pacer Anrich Nortje. Nonetheless, the team will hope that the acquisition of the young K.C. Cariappa, New Zealand fast bowler Lockie Ferguson, English left-arm Harry Gurney, and West Indian all-rounder Carlos Brathwaite will do the trick.
Both the teams are well balanced on paper and choosing a winner will be extremely difficult. Nonetheless, considering their head to head record, home advantage, and squad, it feels like Kolkata Knight Riders have the edge between the two teams.
How should your Dream11 squad look like?
Considering that it is a batting-friendly surface, choosing between 4-5 big hitters would be advised. Choosing 2-3 all-rounders would do the trick. In bowlers, try to choose spinners. Kuldeep Yadav is a highly recommended player, considering his record at the venue.
