DC vs SRH Dream11 Prediction

Delhi Capitals

Delhi Capitals have been one of the surprise packages of this campaign. Their young but talented squad failed to impress experts prior to the season. But as the competition unveiled, everyone saw a very different side of DC. They were more clinical in their victories, and even ruthless at times. They scripted some memorable victories like ones against KKR and MI to finish the group stage with 18 points – undoubtedly their best season so far. Nonetheless, they will still feel unlucky to have finished third.

Batting has really been DC’s strength this season. The addition of an experienced Shikhar Dhawan from SRH may be considered as one of the best bit of businesses done in the transfer window. The Delhi man has been in scintillating form at the top, scoring . What more, Dhawan has been able to bring out the best from his fellow young batsmen – Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant. On their day, DC’s menacing batting line-up can chase down any total thrown at them.

However, it will be the nowling department that will be Delhi’s cause of concern on Wednesday. Their spearhead and leading wicket-taker this term – Kagiso Rabada – has been ruled out of the tournament owing to a back niggle. Nonetheless, the domestic bowlers have stepped up well in his absence as was evident in the final group stage game against Rajasthan Royals (RR). The team will have to click on all the fronts if they are to salvage anything against SRH.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

Sunrisers Hyderabad, on the other hand, may be considered as the luckiest team of this season considering the dramatic way in which they made it to the Knockouts. The points tally of 12 that they managed to achieve was only 1 point greater than the last placed Royal Challengers.

The departures of two of their most consistent batsmen – David Warner and Jonny Bairstow – seem to have weakened the team’s batting order very much. However, what will be heartening is the fact that Manish Pandey, Kane Williamson and Martin Guptill have all shown signs of revival in their absence.

Bowlers are doing their jobs pretty neatly, although there is a further scope of improvement there. Khaleel Ahmed, with 17 wickets, has undoubtedly been the youngster’s breakthrough season. He is bearing the fruits of practicing with the experienced Bhuvneshwar Kumar, although the economy rate can be worked upon. Going by his standards, Rashid Khan is having a rather average season this year, having scalped only 15 wickets. SRH will be banking on him heavily to take down DC’s star batting line up at the slow Vizag pitch.

Predicted Winner

Considering the big dearth in the two team’s momentum and squad depth, DC definitely feel favourites to win this contest. They have a superior batting line-up and know how to play in slow conditions (having played at Kotla for so long). We, thus, root for DC to win this contest ahead of SRH.

Dream11 Hint

AS has been mentioned earlier, the slow pitch at the ACA-VDCA Stadium, Vizag, with its low bounce, is expected to provide an edge to spinners. Therefore, try to choose more bowlers with special focus on spinners. In the batting department, openers and lower-order batsman should be your choice.
