DC vs SRH Dream11 Prediction
Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad both had their last matches on weekends and both were hugely entertaining contests. While Delhi Capitals had to win it out in a thrilling Super Over against KKR, SRH hit RCB for a massive 231 to close the case in the first innings itself. Thursday’s match between the two at the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium promises to be an exact copy of the SRH-RCB match when it comes to batting. Both the teams possess some of the game’s biggest hitters.

The head to head record between DC and SRH is very one-sided with the latter clearly holding a 8 win advantage over the former’s 4. Sunrisers won both their matches against Delhi in 2018, including a 9-wicket drubbing at this ground. In that match, Rishabh Pant had scored a massive 128-runs knock off just 63 balls to show everyone exactly why he is seen as a long-term replacement to MS Dhoni. However, his fighting innings was overshadowed by Shikhar Dhawan (who was in SRH back then) and Kane Williamson’ masterclass innings of 92 and 83 respectively.
Having faced the SRH bowlers extensively in the nets, Shikhar Dhawan will be a key man in this contest. Kotla is his home stadium and incidentally, he has the maximum number of runs (357) in the history of the DC vs SRH fixtures. With 9 wickets, Amit Mishra leads the lineup among bowlers. He too knows the Kotla pitch pretty well.
It will be a thrilling match between the two of the most explosive batting units in IPL this season. In Bairstow and Warner, SRH arguably have the league’s best openers. DC too have loads of talent in the form of Prithvi Shaw, Shikhar Dhawan, and Rishabh Pant.
Choosing a clear winner among these two is very difficult. But for the sake of it, we would like to bet on SRH to edge past DC and win the match.
As has been mentioned earlier, Kotla stadium boasts of a clear batting pitch. Thus, choosing 4-5 big hitters would be recommended. David Warner is a must-have. Among all-rounders, Vijay Shankar and Chris Morris would be fine choices although it would be interesting to see if Mohammed Nabi gets a chance in the squad again. Amongst bowlers, try to choose bowlers with impressive economy rates like Sandeep Lamichhane and Rashid Khan.
