IPL Auction 2019 with primetime viewership
The auction will take place on December 18 between 3 PM – 9:30 PM, which means primetime viewership for the show. Also, this will see Indian sports fans enjoying all the cricket action as it is also scheduled to be the final day of the second Test between India and Australia.
The auction for the 12th edition of the Indian Premier League 2019 Auction is scheduled to take place on December 18th in Jaipur. Targeting to make this auction one of the biggest events in the history of IPL, Board of Cricket Council of India (BCCI) has decided to start the auction at 3 PM and shall continue till 09:30 PM. This directly means that the auction will be under the prime-time viewership.
This will be a busy, buzzing day for cricket action as it will also be the final day of the second test between India and Australia
But all Indian sports fans need not worry as they can easily enjoy both the proceedings with a difference in the slated timings of both the events.
According to a Mumbai Mirror report, “It does not make sense to have the auction running parallel to the Test match which has the potential to go down the wire and produce a thrilling finish.”
Earlier in November, all IPL franchises have already released the list of retained and released players in IPL’s first ever transfer window on November 15th.
Besides Indian players, all eyes are set on the Australian players at the IPL auction, who will not be playing the full edition of the league.
Australia has Sheffield Shield and the series against Pakistan to play between the IPL matches and are not allowed to miss both of them.
Hence, Australian players will have to take a No-Objection Certificate from the board before participating in the league.
The Australian players will also have an early exit from the league to prepare for the World Cup 2019, which starts in the last week in May. Just like Aussies, the England players will also have an early exit from the tournament to prepare for the World Cup. They are not expected to play the May leg of the tournament.
Players who can debut in the 12th edition of Indian Premier League 2019
Hetmyer set the CPL 2018 alive after finishing as the third highest run-scorer in the global T20 League. He amassed a whopping 440 runs playing for Guyana Amazon Warriors with a century and two fifties.
And this is why he could be one of the most significant and highest-bidding debutants in IPL 2019 Auction.
Opening batsman Mohammad Shahzad can be an interesting hire who can set the IPL 2019 on fire. He has hit the right chords and could join other Afghanistan players in the IPL. The wicket-keeper batsman won hearts of the Indian fans when he smashed a 116-ball 124 against India in the Asia Cup 2018.
Oshane Thomas grabbed our eyeballs when he played against India in the T20I series. His height, his pace and a knack for picking quick wickets could interest franchises for buying him in a good bid.
One of the surprise exclusions in 2018 IPL auction, Adil Rashid is all set to make a strong comeback from 2019 IPL auction. With 42 ODI wickets this year, Rashid has also grabbed the highest number of wickets for England in T20I’s in 2018.
We are sure this year his hard work would pay-off and this in-form bowler could finally get his IPL break and make a well-deserved debut.
Kamlesh Nagarkoti was one of the top bowlers for India in the U-19 World Cup victory in 2018. With a bowling speed of as high as 140 kph, Nagarkoti has all the chances to make a powerful entry in IPL 2019.
The franchises are all set to make a big splash at the upcoming IPL 2019 auctions. Stay tuned with KreedOn to catch the latest updates on 2019 IPL auctions!
