Yet another milestone for India as the Women’s hockey team clinched the title of FIH Nations Cup as they defeated Spain by 1-0 in the finals. Indian women’s team is now guaranteed a spot in the FIH Pro League for 2023-24. On Saturday, the FIH Nations Cup of 8 countries was concluded in Spain.

In the finals, Team India emerged victorious by defeating the host Spain 1-0. Gurjit Kaur from Punjab scored the winning goal in the 6th minute of the final. In the semi-finals, Team India beat Ireland by 2-1 in the penalty shootout. In the league round, India finished in 1st place in Group B by winning all three matches.
On Sunday, Sports Minister of Punjab, Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer congratulated the Indian women’s hockey team for the title win in the FIH Nations Cup.
