This win earned them the championship title. The Indian pair became the first to clinch a Contender title this year. The Indian pair showcased their exceptional skills, prevailing over the formidable Japanese teenagers. The Japanese duo individually holds top-25 rankings in the world singles.

In a hard-fought semi-final clash on Saturday, they encountered a formidable Korean pair, Shin Yubin and Jeon Jihi. The players fiercely contested the match, which extended to a nail-biting five sets. However, Sutirtha Mukherjee and Ayhika Mukherjee displayed their resilience and emerged victorious with a 3-2 triumph (7-11, 11-9, 11-9, 7-11, 11-9).
