Team India will welcome West Indies for the final match of the three-match T20 series. After a Virat Kohli masterclass in the first T20, West Indies put up their best T20 performance in 2019 to win the second game in Thiruvanathapuram. With the series equally poised at one each, tonight’s match at the Wankhede will decide whether hosts India will take home the series or T20 World Champions West Indies will finally win a T20 series in India.

WI – Evin Lewis, Nicholas Pooran, Carlos Brathwaite

[icon name=”cloud” class=”” unprefixed_class=””]   Weather Conditions 28°C, 68% humidity, 10 km/hr. Clear weather.
[icon name=”circle” class=”” unprefixed_class=””]   Toss Advantage Winning the toss would be crucial. Both Kohli and Pollard will look to win the toss and elect to bowl first as teams chasing have won five out of the six T20 internationals played at Wankhede.
Pitch Conditions The pitch in Wankhede is a ‘batsman’s pitch’. Spinners will have little to no role to play on this pitch. Going by the IPL 2019 games played here, seemers may find some bounce, helping them to occasionally trouble batsmen. Further, expect dew in the second innings of the match, meaning defending a score would be hard.

Fantasy Cricket Tips for today’s cricket match

Wankhade has a good batting pitch, meaning that we could have a high scoring match on our hands. In 2019, Wankhade has seen an average first innings score of 176.

Rohit Sharma is one player who has proven himself time after time in IPL for Mumbai Indians. Along with him KL Rahul and Virat Kohli will be instrumental in tipping the match towards India. Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer could be called upon for contributing in the middle order if the top order falls as they did in the second T20.

Shivam Dube scored a half-century in the second T20 and will look to add to his performance.

West Indies have struggled with batting in 2019. However, the first two T20s showed potentials in their batting side. They scored 207/5 in the first T20 and chased 173 in 18.5 overs with the loss of only two wickets in the second T20.

Winning the toss will be crucial. As earlier mentioned, teams chasing have one five of the six T20 internationals played on this pitch. Furthermore, dew will play an important role in helping teams to do so.

West Indies will look forward to playing at the Wankhade and emulate their performance against India from the semi-finals of the 2016 T20 World Cup. After setting 193 runs to win, West Indies, led by Simmons’s 83 and Russell’s 43 chased down the target with ease.

Predicted Winner

2019 has not been the kindest to West Indies. Prior to the start of the series, they had won just won T20 in the year. However, the last two matches have been a much brighter affair for them. They scored 207 and 173 in the two T20’s respectively while at the same time troubled Indian key batsmen Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli in the second game.

Despite their resurgence, India has better chances to come through with a victory solely because of their immense experience and deep batting order.

Predicted Winner: India
