Fantasy Cricket Tips for today’s cricket match: IND vs WI

The Chepauk has recorded an average score of 244 in ODIs. Spinners will be crucial in this match. The ideal choice for both the captains will be to bat first as spinners will be able to get more from the pitch as time passes by. Out of the 21 matches played, 13 have won by teams batting first. This shows the importance of winning the toss!!

Indian openers have been in hard-hitting form. The third T20 was proof of it. KL Rahul will forward to open in the absence of Shikhar Dhawan. Virat Kohli scored 94 and 70 in the first and third T20. Expect another good knock from him. Rishabh Pant has been inconsistent with the bat.  He has scored 18, 33 and 0 in his last three matches.

Shreyas Iyer has performed well in ODIs of late and is a dependable choice for the number 4. Jadeja knows Chennai’s pitch well from his years of playing for CSK. Shivam Dube is also a good choice considering his form with the bat and can bowl as well.

Coming to bowlers, both spinners Chahal and Kuldeep can play an influential role in turning the match towards India. In pacers, Shardul Thakur is called upon for injured Bhuvi. Like Jadeja, he has experience playing at the Chepauk from his time with CSK.

Deepak Chahar and Shami are also in good form. Chahar picked 3 wickets in the 3 T20s. Shami came in the third match and picked up two wickets.

West Indies have a decent batting lineup as well. Opener Evan Lewis scored 40 in both first and second T20. He got injured in the third T20 and West Indies will hope he is fit to return in time. Shermyon Hetmyar has also shown consistent displays in the middle-order recently.

His partnership with Pollard looked threating in the third T20 against India. With the ball, Hayden Walsh will look to continue on his promises and trouble Indian batsmen. Indian batsmen will also be wary of Sheldon Cortell. He took 3 wickets in the recently finished T20 series.

Predicted Winner

Considering India’s recent record against West Indies, and the form of openers KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma, the Men in Blue are the clear favourites. Further, Virat Kohli has a variety of spin options in Chahal, Yadav, Jadeja and Shivam Dube giving them a massive advantage on the Chennai pitch.
