Ganemat, already a holder of one individual world cup medal, displayed her prowess, while Darshna made history in her debut senior final. In the qualification round, Darshna equaled the national record with a score of 120, securing her spot in the six-woman final, where Ganemat finished fourth with a score of 117. Orynbay led the qualifiers with 121 hits.

As the intense competition unfolded, Ganemat and Darshna persevered, narrowing the gap with Orynbay. At the 40-target mark, the Czech shooter was eliminated, guaranteeing a historic double for the Indian contingent. Eventually, in a nail-biting shoot-off, Orynbay emerged as the gold medalist, while Ganemat settled for silver.

While the Indian men’s skeet team did not make it to the finals, Mairaj Khan finished 16th with a score of 119, followed closely by Gurjoat Khangura in 18th place. Anantjeet Singh Naruka concluded the event with a score of 118.
