After an amazing start at the Asia Champions trophy with a smashing win over Oman with 11-0 scoreline, India is all set for today’s match against Pakistan.

India thrashed the hosts, Oman with a one-sided scoreline and made a strong start at the tournament. Dilpreet Singh was a treat to watch as he scored a hat trick out of 11 goals. He became the man of the match. 5 of the goals came from the penalty corner. India’s coach Harendra Singh had mixed emotions about the match, he was happy as the team won but also stated that improvement needs to be done on certain areas. The first half of the match was goalless but slowly Indians picked up their pace and led India towards victory.
Defending Champions, India will play their second match of Men’s Asia Champions Trophy 2018, held in Muscat. Captain Manpreet Singh is looking forward to this classic clash against their rivals Pakistan.
Pakistan’s Start
Similar to India, Pakistani hockey team also started strong by registering their “first-match first-win” over South Korea on Friday.

Last time India played against Pakistan was at the 2018 Asian Games where India beat Pakistan 2-1 and claimed the Bronze medal. However, the team was disappointed as they couldn’t win the Asian Games Gold.
It will be interesting to see the much-anticipated match of these two rivals.
