The T20I series will warp up on December 3, after which India will embark on a tour to South Africa comprising three ODIs, an equal number of T20Is, and two Test matches. The tour kicks off with the T20I series on December 10, leading to the first ODI on December 17.

Following this, India will host Afghanistan for three T20Is starting January 11, and just eight days after that series concludes, England will challenge the hosts in a five-match Test series starting January 25. This marquee Test series, integral to the World Test Championship, will run until March 11, followed by the much-anticipated Indian Premier League (IPL). Subsequently, after the IPL wraps up, the T20 World Cup is predominantly scheduled for June 2024.
