IND vs WI Dream11 Prediction
India have got one of the best starts to their World Cup campaign, having won four of the five games with the other one being called out courtesy of heavy rains. There has been a sense of completeness and clinicality to the Men in Blues’ performances, may it be with the bat or ball.
However, with success comes a sense of confidence that may, at times, turn get overhead. Saturday’s hard-fought 11-run victory against Afghanistan was an apt wakeup call of the same.
Having scored consecutive 300+ scores against strong teams like Australia and Pakistan, the team was expected to again cross the mark against a team who had just conceded 397 runs. However, what transpired was a completely different story. Afghanistan, a team that was written before even taking it to the field, struck at just the right time and decimated India to a score of 224/8. They almost chased the target in the second innings had it not been for Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami’s brilliance in the death overs.
They had to huff and puff, they had to dig deep, they had a scare but India have the two points. What a game of cricket!

While India are capable of beating any team in the world at the moment, it is this lapse in performance that they should be looking to eliminate if they are to lift the coveted World Cup trophy for the third time.
West Indies, on the other hand have a tough task at hands entering into the Saturday’s game. Having started the campaign with a thumping 7-wicket victory over Pakistan. However, things have gone haywire since. While it is not that they played bad, its just that they weren’t lucky against big teams. Having been in a controlling position in the game against Australia, the team slumped in the final quarter of the chase, losing out by only 15 runs. The same was the case against table toppers New Zealand, where they were bowled out for 286 with the tea needing 5 runs from 6 balls.
While there is still time for resurrection, it may just be too late for the two-time champions to make a comeback.
Without a doubt India is the favourite team to win this contest. Despite some injury concerns, the team has looked to be one of the most convincing sides in the tournament so far. While Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli continue to shine with the willow, Yuzvendra Chahal and Jasprit Bumrah have been a revelation with the ball. The emergence of Mohammed Shami onto the scenes just makes things better for the Men in Blue. While West Indies have a habit of springing up surprises, a win against India is a far call for this team.
Predicted Winner: India
Although Old Trafford ground has a dubious low-scoring ground, things, surprisingly, have been far different in the World Cup this season. The average score on the ground has jumped from 200 something to 295. This stunning transformation may be down to the fact that the last ODI was over a year ago. Whatever may be the case, given the firepower the two teams possess, it will be an undoubtedly a high scoring game on Saturday.
It goes without saying that choosing 5 batsman wouldn’t be a bad idea. While you most probably know who to choose from the Indian side, Chris Gayle, Shai Hope and Shimron hetmyer could be your choice among the Windies batsmen. Carlos Brathwaite can also be a smart option considering he can contribute on both the ends. Amongst bowlers, try to chose pacers with Bumrah and Shami highly recommended. Sheldon Cottrell can also be given a chance.
