IND vs SRI Dream11 Prediction
India barged into the semi finals of the ICC World Cup 2019 with a convincing 28 run-victory over fellow Asians Bangladesh. After the disappointing defeat at the hands of England, the game was crucial for establishing the right batting order, especially with Vijay Shankar out injured. And while there were some positives like the performance of Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul, who now look settled in their roles, the questions were again raised on the middle-order’s ability to chase high total. Dinesh Karthik failed to capitalize on a rare start given to him whereas Hardik Pandya returned to pavillion for a duck.
After the terrific start, India will be disappointed with the finish score: iver 300+, but about 40-45 less than what looked likely till the batting lost its way

Entering the game against Sri Lanka, the team still doesn’t know who would start in the 7th position. Kedar Jadhav still remains a good prospect. But his dismal strike-rate towards the end of the game (when quick runs are needed) matched by a lack of opportunity with the ball damages his chances of selection.
Although Dinesh Karthik is a good option as well, but then a lack of World Cup experience along with his performance in the last game play against him. Nonetheless, he is still the most experienced option available. Ravindra Jadeja is another impressive option with the management. Although he may not contribute to the batting heft as much as the other two, he more than makes up for it with the ball and his electric fielding. Jadeja also has a long experience of playing alongside MS Dhoni in death overs.
Finding this last piece in the batting-lineup jigsaw would be highly crucial for the team India, especially since their most probable opponent would be a free-scoring England. The finals too will most probably have another batting giant- Australia.
It would be an understatement to hold India as the favourites to win this contest. They are have been outperforming teams with both the bat as well as the ball of late. Sri Lanka, on the other hand, have been struggling to perform in both the departments. Their performances against big teams have been abysmal, a fact that is reflected in their lowly NRR of -0.934, the second lowest in the tournament. While India have a reason to fight for (the No.1 spot in table), Sri Lanka don’t have much to fight for than to somehow end a disappointing campaign.
Predicted Winner: India
The Headingley Carnegie ground may be very unpredictable with scores as low as 212 and as high as 348 scored here. It would, then, be helpful if you select players according to how toss unfolds. If India bat first, expect a run galore, with Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant at the center of it all. In short, the scenario is expected to be more like the England-Pakistan or Sri Lanka-West Indies game.
If Sri Lanka bat first, expect a low scoring game with the score below between 180-250. The bowlers should be backed here.
A special mention has to be made of Lasith Malinga, who has been phenomenal on this pitch. In Sri lanka’s last game here, he had a figure of 4/43. In the team’s last game against West Indies as well, he had scalped 3 wickets.
