Ind vs SA 3rd test day 2- Jasprit Bumrah’s 7th five-wicket haul and some solid batting by Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara have helped India take a 70 run lead in the 3rd Test. It is the second day of the 3rd test in Cape Town, and India has ended the day on 57/2 after bowling out South Africa for 210.
The Proteas Innings
India scored 223 in their first innings, largely due to Captain Kohli’s incredible 79 runs knock. It was now South Africa’s turn to show some grit. They ended the first day with 17/1 as Bumrah got their captain early.
As the 2nd day began, so did India’s tight bowling. By the third and final session of the match, South Africa was already 176/7. Keegan Peterson did well, but even his 72 runs knock couldn’t stop India from getting a 13 run lead.
Bumrah completed his 7th five wickets in an innings, as India bowled out South Africa for 210.
The Indian Second Innings Ind VS SA 3rd Test
Indians were probably expecting a lot from the in-form duo of KL Rahul and Mayank Rahul.
But, they had to be satisfied with a 20 run partnership, as Kagiso Rabada and Marco Jansen got the openers out early. From there, the duo of Kohli and Pujara made sure not to lose any more wickets. They ended the day with 57/2.
Kohli is on unbeaten 14* and Pujara has scored 9*. They would look to extend the 70 run lead as far as they can on the 3rd Day.
