With the T20 series done and dusted, both, Indian and Bangladesh now lock horns in the first test of the two-match test series. India have been invisible at home in test series and that’s why there are sitting at the top of the table in ICC Test Championships. It will be a Herculean task for Bangladesh to tame India in their backyard.

Virat Kohli is back in the squad after a much-needed break from the T20 series. Rohit Sharma, as an opener, was outstanding against the Proteas in the tests.

Bangladesh are yet to open their account in the Test championships. They will play their first match in this tournament against India. The team has been one of the most improved teams in the last decade when seen in ODIs and T20Is. But when it comes to Test cricket, the team is yet to ascertain its dominance.

Impact Player Rohit Sharma, Mayank Agarwal, Virat Kohli

IND vs BAN 1st Test Dream11 Prediction

Team News India

Virat Kohli is back as the captain of the Indian side after a much-needed break. The team’s spirit are definitely atop the Everest post 3-0 drubbing of South Africa in the tests last month. The best positive from that test series and the recent T20 series against Bangladesh is Rohit Sharma’s performance with the bat.

The year 2019 has brought some remarkable form in Rohit Sharma. Mayank Agarwal, since his debut in tests, has never disappointed with the bat. Cheteshwar Pujara, although played a couple of good knocks against the Proteas, seems to lack lustre. He will be hoping to get it back in this series. Shubman Gill gets a chance to be in the squad in this series.

The bowling attack looks lethal with the likes of Mohammed Shami, Umesh Yadav, Ishant Sharma and spinners like Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav.

Team News Bangladesh

Again the absence of Shakib al-Hasan will somewhere choke the experience in the squad. Mominul Haque who had a good outing against Afghanistan in the recent test series will be leading the side as a result of Shakib’s ban.

The bowling attack although revamped if compared with the test series, is good in the conditions. Mehidy Hasan will be a crucial cog in Bangladesh’s bowling setup against India. Although Bangladesh looks weaker on paper against the Indian side, they will be playing with pretty much intent

Probable Playing XI of India

Rohit Sharma, Mayank Agarwal, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli(c), Ajinkya Rahane, Wriddhiman Saha(wk), Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammad Shami, Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav

Probable Playing XI of Bangladesh

Shadman Islam/Saif Hassan, Imrul Kayes, Mominul Haque (c), Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah, Mohammad Mithun, Liton Das (wk), Mehidy Hasan, Taijul Islam, Abu Jayed, Mustafizur Rahman

Dream11 Prediction Team 1

Mushfiqur Rahim (Wk), Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma(C), Mayank Agarwal, Ajinkya Rahane(VC), Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Mohammed Shami, Taijul Islam, Mustafizur Rahman

Mushfiqur Rahim has to be the player who will carry Bangladesh with his experience. Virat, Rohit and Agarwal have been brilliant with their bats providing heavy contributions at the top.

Rahane, ladies and gentlemen, is the backbone of the Indian batting middle order and no other but Rahane can be depended upon in case of a top-order collapse.

Jadeja and Ashwin, this duo has literally troubled batsmen of big calloire with their spin. Since the sub-continent pitches tend to assist the spinners more as the match progresses, Mehidy Hasan and Taijul Islam can be a good support to Ashwin and Jadeja’s combination.

Shami and Mustafizur can be deadly with the new ball as well as when the ball starts to reverse swing.

IND vs BAN 1st Test Dream11 Prediction Team 2

Mushfiqur Rahim(wk), Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Mayank Agarwal, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ravichandran Ashwin(c), Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Mohammed Shami(vc), Taijul Islam, Mustafizur Rahman, Ishant Sharma

Stats and Trivia

In the only test match played at the Holkar Stadium, Indore India defeated New Zealand by 323 runs. The match witnessed a double-century from Virat (211) and a gritty knock of 188 from Ajinkya Rahane. In the first inning. In the second inning, Pujara slammed 101 not out taking the game completely away from New Zealand.

Predicted Winner

Even the best of teams like Australia, South Africa and England have fallen toothless to the Indian supremacy at home. It would be pretty difficult for Bangladesh to drub India at its home. If India wins the toss and (definitely) chooses to bat, then it would be pretty much impossible for Bangladesh to outplay India.

Predicted Winner: India
