IDCA Announces Dynamic Deaf Cricket Squad for T20 World Cup Pursuit

The Indian Deaf Cricket Association (IDCA) recently unveiled its 15-member squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup (WC) set to take place in Qatar from December 1 to December 12. The leadership of the team will be under the captaincy of Virender Singh, with all-rounder Sai Akash assuming the role of vice-captain.

Expressing strong support for the team, head coach Dev Dutt emphasized their ultimate objective: clinching victory in the tournament.

He said,

“The preparations are going really well. Our chief selector, Vinod Kumar Matta has also been very supportive. Our aim is to win the T20 World Cup. We won the Champions Trophy recently and our next target is to lift the World Cup for India.”

The IDCA successfully conducted an extensive five-day coaching camp in Delhi from August 21 to 25, which saw participation from a total of 25 players. The original count of attendees was 26, representing various regions across the country, but one player unfortunately had to be excluded due to an injury.
