Indian Captain Virat Kohli is leading the table in the ICC Test rankings while New Zealand’s Captain Kane Williamson is the close second. Kohli is at the top of the table with 922 points while Williamson is only a few points away at 915 – his career-best rating points.

Kohli and Williamson top the ICC Rankings
The right-handed No.3 batsman Williamson scored an outstanding 200 not out against Bangladesh at Seddon Park, Hamilton which propelled the Kiwis to an unbelievable 715/6. The Kiwis won the match by an innings and 52 runs. The captain who was at 897 rating points, zoomed up to 915, only 7 short of table topper Virat Kohli.
With two more Test matches to go against Bangladesh, Williamson has an opportunity to top the rankings which he had occupied briefly in 2015.
-- Advertisement --Also, Williamson’s ratings are the highest for any Kiwi batsman in Test Cricket. Other than Kane Williamson, only Richard Hadlee crossed the 900 point mark with a best of 909 points in bowling.
Pujara at No.3
India’s No.3 and forever reliable Cheteshwar Pujara is at the third spot in the rankings. Pujara has 881 rating points. He last played a Test series in Australia where he was awarded the Man of the Series for his exemplary performances over the course of 4 matches which included 3 centuries.
Australia’s Steve Smith who will return to play after a ban of a year due to ball tampering is at No. 4 while England Test captain Joe Root is at the fifth spot.

India’s veteran pacer Jhulan Goswami on March 4, rose to the summit of the ICC women’s rankings for ODI bowlers following her influential role in the team’s series win over England recently.

In the latest ICC rankings, India’s two bowlers find a place in the top 10. Left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja is 5th on the points table with 794 rating points. Whereas his spin bowling partner Ravichandran Ashwin is at No. 10 with 763 points. India’s fast bowling spearhead who had an exceptional 2018 – Jasprit Bumrah is placed 16th.
Australian Pat Cummins lead the table with 878 points while England’s highest wicket-taker James Anderson is second with 862 points. South Africans Kagiso Rabada and Vernon Philander are third and fourth respectively with 851 and 813 rating points.
All Rounder Rankings
India’s Ravindra Jadeja is third on the list of all-rounders behind Windies Captain Jason Holder and Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan. England’s Ben Stokes is fourth while South Africa’s Vernon Philander is placed fifth. India’s Ravichandran Ashwin is sixth in the all-rounder list.
Team Rankings
India leads the table with 116 rating points followed by New Zealand with 107. South Africa, Australia and England are third, fourth and fifth respectively.
