ICC Reveals Full Schedule for WTC 2023-25 | IND, PAK, AUS Face Tough Draw

The ICC unveils schedule for World Test Championship 2023-25 (WTC 3), marking the start of a new cycle after Australia’s triumph over India in the latest edition. The highly anticipated third edition of the World Test Championship is set to kick off with the commencement of the Australia vs England five-match Ashes series this Friday.

According to the announcement, the third edition of the tournament will feature nine teams, including Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and West Indies. These teams will compete in a total of 68 Test matches spread across 27 series over a span of two years.

Furthermore, each series in the World Test Championship will consist of two to five Test matches. In this edition, every team will engage in six series, with three taking place at home and three away. It is worth mentioning that the final match will be held at Lord’s Cricket Ground, featuring the two highest-ranked teams.

India is slated to participate in 19 matches during the 2023-25 cycle of the World Test Championship. The Indian cricket team’s quest for Test glory will kick off with a two-match series against West Indies, to be played away from home.

  • Five Tests vs England – January 2024 to February 2024
  • Two Tests vs Bangladesh – September 2024 to October 2024
  • Three Tests vs New Zealand – October 2024 to November 2024

  • Two Tests in West Indies – July 2023 to August 2023
  • Two Tests in South Africa – December 2023 to January 2024
