ICC has released its event schedule for the session 2024-31. According to the new event schedule of ICC, India will be hosting all three ICC tournaments, the T20 world cup, the ODI world cup, and the Champions Trophy. The BCCI will be hosting these ICC events in 2026 (t20 world cup) 2029 (Champions Trophy), and 2031 (ODI world cup) respectively. The 2026 world cup will be hosted by India with Sri Lanka and the 2031 World Cup with Bangladesh. The 2029 Champions Trophy however will be hosted by India alone.

Pakistan too will be hosting the 2025 champions trophy. It will be the first time since the 1996 World Cup when Pakistan will be hosting an ICC Event. It has to be noted that Pakistan has not been able to host many games since 2009 when terrorists attacked the Sri Lankan Team.

Countries like the USA and Namibia will be hosting a major ICC tournament for the first time too. USA will host the 2024 T20 world cup alongside West Indies whereas Namibia will host 2027 ODI world cup alongside South Africa and Zimbabwe.
