The highest runs in ODI by team came when when England created a world record by registering the highest team score in ODI cricket. They made the impossible possible and scored an unbelievable total of 481/4 in 50 overs!

They made a joke out of the 5-time World Champion Australian team. England became the first team to register a run rate of more than 9.0 runs/over (9.62).

Alex Hales’ 147 off 92, Johnny Bairstow’s 139 off 92, and Eoin Morgan’s 30-ball 67 helped England destroy the Australian bowling. Australia lost the game by a gigantic total of 242. This was Australia’s biggestmost significant loss in terms of runs.

With the way teams are batting today, 500 runs in an innings wouldn’t be a surprise in the coming future. As the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 goes on, let us hope one of its exciting team innings becomes a part of this list. This score is still the highest score in one day cricket history.
