This victory ended a medal drought for the Indian hockey team at the Olympics that had lasted for over four decades. Looking ahead, the Indian men’s hockey team has its sights set on clinching a gold medal at the Hangzhou Asian Games, a feat that would ensure their automatic qualification for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
