Men in blue are all set to lock horns with Sri Lanka in their 1st international match of 2023. Team India will face Sri Lankan Team in the first match of the three-match T20 series on January 3, 2023. Ahead of the tournament, skipper Hardik Pandya has revealed a special new year resolution for 2023.
Hardik Pandya, an all-rounder made an inspiring comeback last year and after being released from Mumbai Indians, led Gujarat Titans to their first-ever victory in IPL 2022.
ODI World Cup 2023 will be played in India in October-November. Hardik revealed that this Year’s resolution is to win the 50-over World Cup. He said,
“The New Year’s resolution is to win the World Cup. I don’t think there can be any bigger resolution than that. Our aim will be to win the World Cup and we will try to do that. We will go out there and give everything and things are looking bright,”
He revealed that winning the 2023 ODI World Cup for his country is his ultimate goal in this year.
Hardik said in the pre-match press conference,
“Obviously, one year back, things were quite different. It was my call to go out and get better and it has been a magical year for me. Obviously, we would have liked to win the T20 World Cup but that is part and parcel. It did not happen and that’s alright,”
“Going forward, what do I want to achieve? There’s a lot to achieve. I haven’t achieved anything in my career. So, looking forward to the future and the goal is going to win the World Cup,”
