Khristo is a Bulgarian athlete who also won European and world championships. In total, from the major competitions, this Bulgarian athlete has claimed 5 golds and 2 silvers. Khristo also performed the coaching duties of Tereza Marinova from 1997 to 2008.

He is Brazilian and also competed in long jumps along with the triple jump events. On a lighter note, during the 2008 Summer Olympics which were held in Beijing, the hosts had to give an extension to his bed, thanks to his 2.03-meter (6 ft 8 in) height.

Along with triple jump events, he also participated in long jump events. Sadly, João Carlos de Oliveira lost his leg in a car accident in 1981 and he died in 1999 from complications of alcoholism.
