In the 2019 World Championship, Narwhal won the bronze medal. This year, he had tough competitors to overcome- like Paralympic and world champions, including Iranian Sareh Javanmardi and Ukraine’s Oleksii Denusiuk. By the end of the series, Narwal ended with 229.1 points. It was enough to set a new world record. He broke the previous world record by Serbia’s Rastko Jokic (228).

“The way Manish performed today was his natural game, it was expected from him. In fact, I was expecting a much better score from him today. Such performance and the results followed will definitely boost the confidence of the entire team for the Tokyo Paralympic Games,” national chief coach JP Nautiyal said.
