The Ganges Grandmasters displayed dominance by securing a convincing victory of 10-4 against the Chingari Gulf Titans in Dubai. In another exciting match, the Mumba Masters emerged victorious with a thrilling 8-7 win over the Triveni Continental Kings.

Anand, a five-time world champion, demonstrated his exceptional skills and took advantage of playing with the white pieces to outsmart Jan-Krzysztof Duda, the winner of the 2021 World Cup.

An interesting feature of the league is the introduction of a unique element where the color of the pieces is determined by flipping. Unlike traditional chess events where both teams have an equal number of black and white boards, all players in the Global Chess League compete with the same color of pieces.

This innovative setup grants the team playing with the white pieces the initial advantage of the first move, potentially impacting the final outcome of the matches.
