Records and numbers are more often the first thing a cricket fan or analyst looks at to determine a player’s value. As the game gets more professional, the stats get more important. The most important number for a batsman has to be the number of runs he has scored. Giving it stiff competition would be the number showing his average. An average of a batsman is the number displaying how consistent a batsman has been. One of the great milestones for batsmen is to reach the 7000 runs milestone.
