Asia Cup 2023: India‘s recent victory against Sri Lanka (SL) in the second Super 4 match has injected fresh hope into Pakistan’s (Pak) chances of reaching the tournament’s final. Initially, it seemed like Sri Lanka was on the path to triumph for a significant part of the game, but India’s eventual win has opened up an opportunity for Pakistan to secure a spot in the final showdown.
Former Pakistani cricketer Ramiz Raja‘s Advice for Pakistan team as they prepare for the crucial Super 4 encounter against Sri Lanka, “Don’t touch social media, don’t watch television channels”. He stressed the importance of taking a mental break, especially considering the emotional ups and downs they experienced in their recent defeat to their arch-rivals, India.
Ramiz expressed in a video shared on his YouTube channel:
“If anyone needs special practice, they can take it. Go to the pool, relax. Don’t touch social media, don’t watch television channels. There won’t be anything good there because the whole of Pakistan is disappointed. Get united. You point fingers at each other after such defeats, that too against India. That shouldn’t happen.”
The former Pakistani cricketer wisely emphasized the importance of Pakistani cricket stars rejuvenating themselves, both mentally and physically. Captain Babar Azam’s ability to unite his team and boost their morale ahead of the upcoming match against Sri Lanka could serve as the driving force behind their quest to reach the Asia Cup final.
