The Directorate of Education of the Government of NCT Delhi in partnership with the Delhi Soccer Association (DSA) and HCL, a prominent global conglomerate, has unveiled an innovative program called “Delhi Future Stars.” This initiative is designed to revolutionize youth football in the national capital area, offering young footballers opportunities to demonstrate their abilities and elevate their skills. The event was honored by the presence of Mr. Himanshu Gupta, Director of Education for the Government of NCT Delhi, who served as the Chief Guest.
Delhi Future Stars has set its sights on transforming three significant leagues, namely the Delhi Youth League, the Delhi School League, and the Delhi Grassroots League, with the goal of generating new prospects. This partnership reflects a significant stride in fostering and boosting youth football in Delhi, showcasing the dedication of the Government of NCT Delhi to enhance the sports scene in the area.
The league is scheduled to commence on October 30, 2023, and will encompass a vast participation of more than 6,500 players and over 400 football teams spanning the Delhi NCR region. Anticipated to draw the attention of over a million individuals, this initiative hinges on the active involvement of parents, schools, and academies, all of whom are pivotal in ensuring the league’s triumph.
Competitions will take place at 35 diverse locations scattered across Delhi NCR, affording ample chances for players to display their skills and partake in elevated-level competition.
