DC vs KKR Dream11 Prediction
Delhi Capitals had a dream start to the campaign with a huge 37 run win over Mumbai Indian, at the latter’s home. However, just before they could build any palpable momentum the defending champions Chennai Super Kings came calling. At 120/2 in the 15th overs, DC was in driver’s seat to breach the 170-run mark.
But just when they could hit the top gears, an experienced CSK bowling attack struck and the hosts were reduced to 147/6. The target was never going to be defendable against a seasoned Chennai batting attack. DC ultimately lost the game by 6 wickets.
While the openers did their job pretty well, it was the lower middle order pair of Colin Ingram (2) and Keemo Paul (0) that failed to deceive. As a result, the latter may well be replaced by an incoming South African All-rounder Chris Morris.
There is not much to complain about the bowling front. Kagiso Rabada is doing just fine both with the wickets and economy. Ishant Sharma is also contributing with the ball, although he can better his economy rate. Amit Mishra returned to the starting XI against CSK and managed to scalp two wickets on his comeback.
He will surely retain his place for Saturday’s epic battle. If DC has to stand a chance of winning against an in-form KKR side, their bowling will have to be speckless and effective.
KKR
It has been a dream start for Kolkata Knight Riders to their 2019 campaign. They defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 6 wickets before trouncing poor KXIP by 28 runs. The highlight of the first two matches has been their crushing batting attack. Nitish Rana and Robin Uthappa have been in sublime form this season, with the former already having won the purple cap with the latter in hot pursuit.
The young Shubman Gill has also shown promise in the limited game time he has got. But KKR real performer has been Andre Russell. The towering West Indian has single-handedly turned the matches into Kolkata’s favour with both the ball and the bat.
De ja vu: A stellar partnership between @robbieuthappa & @NitishRana_27 ??
A blitzkrieg from @Russell12A ?#KKR grabbing a victory! ?#KKRvKXIP was almost like the repeat of the magic we saw at #KKRvSRH ?#KKRHaiTaiyaar pic.twitter.com/3qak9oSYJE

Against SRH, he scalped two wickets (2/32) before coming with the willow and hitting a fast-fire 49* off just 19 balls. Against KXIP, he then cracked another knock of 48 off just 17 deliveries to help KKR reach 218. That was followed by a bowling figure of 2/21 to see his team make it 2 from 2.
Elsewhere, the magic of Sunil Narine is missing this season. He hasn’t managed to scalp a single wicket in the first two matches while his economy rate from the last match was a disappointing 13.00. Kuldeep Yadav and Prasidh Krishna also have yet to open their accounts.
Nonetheless, on the whole, KKR is surely going to be the firm title favourites in 2019 IPL going by the first impressions.
Predicted Winner: KKR is better placed to win the match against DC. They have a superior batting lineup, a well-balanced team. Moreover, they have the momentum with them going into the match.
