When Virat Kohli steps out at Trinidad’s Queen’s Park Oval for the second India versus West Indies Test, another incredible record will be added to his resume. The former captain of India will join the names of famous MS Dhoni, iconic Sachin Tendulkar, and present head coach Rahul Dravid on an exclusive list of Indian hitters.

Only four batters have played 500 or more international matches for India. With an astounding 664 appearances since his 1989 first appearance, Sachin Tendulkar tops the lists. MS Dhoni comes in second with 538 games played, coming in behind Rahul Dravid (509).
