CHE vs MUN EFL Dream11 Prediction | Chelsea vs Manchester United
The EFL Cup Round of 16 will feature England’s two heavyweights – Chelsea who will host Manchester United at the Stamford Bridge on Thursday. It will be an interesting watch as both the teams have started the 2019-2020 season by playing their academy graduates.
On one side we have the likes of Tammy Abraham and Christian Pulisic who are both in fantastic goal-scoring form. On the other hand, we have United’s back four which never looked as better as now with the addition of Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka. The game will see Chelsea dominating most of the minutes and creating plenty of chances. While United will have done their defending homework and create chances from their signature counter-attacking style of play.
Since their Premier League opening day defeat to Manchester United, the blues have really made a strong turn around to their season. Since then Chelsea has only lost to Liverpool but they had a lot of positives to take from the game. In round 3 of the EFL Cup, Chelsea demolished Grimsby Town in a 7-1 victory at the Stamford Bridge. Going into their game against bitter rivals Manchester United, the blues will be confident of inflicting a loss and taking revenge for their opening day humiliation at Old Trafford.
On the other end of the spectrum, the Red Devils had a string of poor performances after winning over Chelsea. A lack of goal-scoring forwards and midfielders who weren’t creating enough, United had their worst start ever to a Premier League season. Injury blows sidelining their important players meant youngsters had to step up and put in convincing performances when the team was already under pressure.
They ended their streak of not winning any away games with a 1-0 victory at Belgrade. They then went to Norwich to secure a much-needed 3-1 victory by playing one of the best football thus far. The Red Devils played their previous EFL Cup game at home to Rochdale. 18-year-old United youngster Mason Greenwood scored in the 68th minute however his heroics were overshadowed when 16-year-old Luke Matheson scored the leveller for Rochdale and sent the match to penalties. United keeper Sergio Romero was calm and composed as the Red Devils won the penalties 5-3 and set up their meeting with Chelsea in the round of 16.

Dream11 Tips and Tricks for Today’s EFL Cup Match: Chelsea vs Manchester United
Goalkeeper: Sergio Romero
Sergio Romero is one of the most under-rated keepers at the moment He has good reflexes and has been on the winning side plenty of times for United. He is probably the best backup keeper in the world and possesses a wide set of skills.
Defenders: Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire, Fikayo Tomori, Reece James
Wan-Bissaka and Harry Maguire have been the best defensive signings for Man Utd in a long time. Wan-Bissaka who plays as a right-back has the ability to tackle and stop a player from progressing. Maguire is a solid centre-back who has proved himself playing for his country and his new club. Fikayo Tomori and Reece James have been in fine form for Chelsea over the last few games. Reece James will look to cause some trouble to United defenders going forward while Tomori will stay firm to his pitch and deny United attackers.
Midfielders: Scott McTominay, Daniel James, Christian Pulisic, Pedro
Scott McTominay has been in outstanding form for Manchester United this season. He has proved to be a proper centre midfielder who loves running with the ball and denying any midfield advance from the opposition. Daniel James has impressed critics and fans with his abilities. The Welsh winger is a threat going forward. He has enjoyed his time so far in the United shirt and is becoming a fan favourite as he is a hard-working midfielder who also contributes defensively.
Christian Pulisic is in the form of his life. He scored a hattrick on the weekend against Burnley and a few goals in the matches prior. Pulisic can be a threat to any opposition given his skills. Pedro on the other wing is another player who can create some brilliant goal scoring chances. He nearly joined United before agreeing to join Chelsea and has been a decent performer for the blues when needed.
Forward: Marcus Rashford, Michy Batshuayi
Marcus Rashford has had a bit of a bad spell in the early stages of the new season. However, with his stunner against Bulgaria playing for England, he has come back stronger and looks sharper. His body language has changed and hopefully, he can continue his goal-scoring form for his club when it’s most required. Michy Batshuayi is one of the best prospects Chelsea has. He is a deadly goal scorer, who can really cause an upset to any defence with his movement.
