Boxer Manoj Kumar launches Fan Drive Ahead of 2020 Olympics

Boxer Manoj Kumar has started a fan campaign with an aim to inculcate and generate maximum support for World Championship in 2019 and Olympic Games that are to take place in 2020.

This campaign is termed being a crucial event with an urge from the Indian community in London, to shower their interest and maximum sport to Boxing, not only as a sport but also to some of the important events lined up in 2019 and World Championship and Tokyo 2020.

The Haryana boxer is extremely excited about how boxing as a sport is gaining momentum year by year. Manoj expressed his urged to the Indian diaspora by saying, “I am extremely gratified to launch the fan campaign from the grounds of London where we are already celebrating cultural diversity pumped up with sporting spirits.”

This initiative has been taken to strengthen the sports fan base of Indians – especially for boxing.

Commonwealth Games gold medalist Manoj Kumar an international level boxer from India in light welt weight boxing category.  The champion, who has many achievements and accolades on his name, is determined of how with the support of millions of Indians, not only within the borders but also across the world, can make boxing a popular event.

He believes that all Indian boxers need maximum support and blessings from their fans so that they can achieve higher-than-expected medals in the international events to come.

Undoubtedly, Boxing is one of the world’s oldest and most played sports. In fact, India too has witnessed a humungous change in the Boxing arena in a past few years and states like Punjab and Haryana has given us some of the most prominent boxers like Manoj Kumar, Vijender Singh, Vikas Krishan Yadav, etc.

The discipline required by our athletes and the apt representation reflects the practice of boxing, generates a positive impact as well as set new pedestals of inspiration for upcoming athletes.
