BCCI’s Succession Plan for Indian Team: The Indian cricket management team is all set to make plans for its future and take the initial steps to prepare a team for the next T20 World Cup. The BCCI could take a crucial call including the appointment of a new skipper for team India and could phase out the senior players.

The discussion would be likely to revolve around the next T20 World Cup which would take place in 2024. It’s being speculated that Hardik Pandya could lead the T20I side with Rohit leading the ODI and the Test Indian squad.

“The BCCI never asks anyone to retire. It is an individual decision. But yes, with just a handful of T20Is scheduled in 2023, most of the seniors will concentrate on ODIs and Test matches in that cycle,”
Team India did not perform well in Asia Cup 2022 and again return empty-handed from T20 World Cup as they lost to England by 10 wickets in the semifinal earlier this month.
