They are still very famous in India due to the high quality of their bats and some excellent marketing. VVS Laxman and Shikhar Dhawan have both used SS bats in the past.
Most of the young Indian cricketers’ bats were sponsored by Reebok, and some of them served as brand ambassadors also. Most flamboyantly, MS Dhoni was a Reebok athlete.
