India’s campaign will be led by star shuttle PV Sindhu. She will be competing to defend the women’s singles title.
Sindhu become the champion in the 2019, Basel championship. Sindhu has also won two silvers (2017, 2018) and two bronze (2013, 2014) at the championship. She has a total tally of five medals to her name.

There have been several withdrawals this year, in the BWF World Badminton Championships.
Carolina Marin, who is a three-time winner in the championship, will not be playing this year. Another withdrawal has been from 2017 champion, Nozomi Okuhara.-- Advertisement --
Not only them, but the entire Indonesian Contingent withdrew from the event. Kento Momota has also withdrawn his name. He is a former two-time winner at the championship.
