The duo won the Double Sculls finals, as India’s brilliant run in the championship continued. They finished the race in 6:57:383 to win gold in Double Sculls for India this Friday.

Indian Men’s Team
The Indian Men’s quadruple sculls team has qualified for the finals. The team consists of four Indian rowers, Jakar Khan, Bittu Singh, Manjeet Kumar, and Sukhmeet Singh.
The quartet ended first in the preliminary rounds and qualified for the finals. They topped the chart with an impressive record of 6:31:041. The other teams in the top three were Uzbekistan and Hong Kong.
The Women’s Quadruple Sculls
The Indian Women’s quadruple sculls team too had qualified for the finals but had to go through the repêchage.
The team consisted of Kushpreet Kaur, Navneet Kaur, Avinash Kaur, and Mrunamayee Salgaonkar. The quartet ended with the third position in the repêchage.
Arvind Singh, the silver medallist at the previous continental championship, has qualified for the finals again. He ended his heat in 7:44:766 to qualify for the finals.
Parminder Singh ended up with a silver medal, finishing second in Men’s Single Sculls. He was defeated by Uzbekistan’s Shakhboz Khalmurzaev, who won gold for his team.
Singh took silver in 8:07:323, whereas Khalmurzaev ended up with gold in 7:56:307.
Previous Double Sculls
The Indian Lightweight Men’s doubles sculls team ended second in the preliminary round. They stood behind only China. The team consisted of Ashish Phugat and Sukhjinder Singh.
The Indian Women’s Lightweight doubles sculls team finished 21 seconds slower than China, coming fourth in the prelims.
