Asian Games: Indian Shooters Secured Silver Medal in 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team Event

Indian shooter, Sarabjot Singh joined forces with Divya TS to secure the silver medal in the 10m air pistol mixed team competition at the ongoing Asian Games in Hangzhou. In an intense final, India put up a formidable challenge against China but ultimately fell short, with a final score of 14-16.

This marks India’s 13th silver medal during the ongoing Asian Games. Notably, the Indian shooters contingent has been a major contributor to this success, amassing a total of 19 medals, consisting of six gold, eight silver, and five bronze.

Sarabjot and Divya’s journey to the 10m air pistol mixed team final began with a strong performance in the qualification round, where they outperformed the Chinese team. Sarabjot scored 291 points, while Divya achieved a score of 286, resulting in a combined total of 577. In contrast, the Chinese team scored 576 points during the qualification round.

Zhang Bowen, the world champion marksman, along with fellow countryman Jiang Ranxin, clinched the gold medal, prevailing 16-14 in a shoot-off against the Indian pair for the top podium position.
