In his early days, he understood the concept of sacrificing things in order to achieve our personal goals and success.

Arun Rayudu faced a hard-fought battle against Asthma since his childhood days. Skating was crucial in increasing the capacity of his lungs. He was at a disadvantage in comparison to his competitors as most of the Skating tournaments were held in winter. Due to the chilly air Arun found it hard to breathe and he was more prone to asthma attacks. Yet he continued his battle against Asthma and he has been able to achieve wonders at national and international level.

Arun Ruyudu has faced 3 major injuries in his life. His right and left shoulder got dislocated. He also faced a ligament tear in his right leg. But the major injury out of these three was the shoulder dislocation injury. Arun was out for 6 months, he had to abandon all physical activities in order to initiate early recovery. This injury could have ended his career, many doctors suggested that there was a high possibility of him not being able to skate again. However, he was able to bounce back from injury.
