Anmolpreet Singh is an Indian right-handed batsman who plays for Punjab at the domestic level. He also plays for the Mumbai Indians in the famous Indian Premier League (IPL).
In his debut Ranji Season itself, Anmol made 753 runs with an unbelievable average of 125.5. Ever since then, he has been one of the most promising Indian cricketers to watch out for.
In IPL Mega Auction 2022, Anmol was retained back by MI for a sum of 20 L.

Anmolpreet Singh Family

He was born to a family of sportsmen in March 1998. His father was not only a former handball player, but he also coached handball.
Anmol’s father, Satvinderpal Singh had been the captain of the Indian handball team during his days.
He got interested in cricket at a very young age. Playing cricket since he was five years old, Anmolpreet was enrolled at a cricket club in Patiala to learn the game
His brother, Tejpreet Singh, too plays cricket at a younger level.

Cricketer Career

He played his first T20 match against Odisha for Punjab in 2015.
Captaining the Under-19 Punjab team, Anmolpreet Singh scored 1154 runs in the Cooch Behar Trophy. He did it in only nine matches in the tournament.
He was selected in the Under-19 team for the 2016 U-19 World Cup. He contributed a lot to his team, scoring a valuable fifty in the semifinals against Sri Lanka.
Domestic Career

Anmolpreet Singh Batting
Anmolpreet Singh played for Punjab in the 2014-15 edition of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He played two matches for Punjab in the tournament. He finally got an opportunity to play in the 2017-18 Ranji Trophy. He was given the chance as a replacement for Yuvraj Singh.
He made his Ranji Debut against Himachal and scored a fifty there. Furthermore, he then scored 267 runs in just his third first-class match against Chhattisgarh.
In an otherwise ordinary season for Punjab, Anmol shined. He scored 753 runs in five matches that season.
Singh was named for India Blue in the 2018-19 Duleep Trophy. The same year, he was also named for India A in the 2018-19 Deodhar Trophy.
It was his consistent performances there that resulted in him being selected for India A’s tour of New Zealand.
In 2019, he was once again named in the India Blue squad for Duleep Trophy. He was in the India C squad for the 2019-20 Deodhar Trophy.

Anmolpreet Singh IPL
He was bought by the Mumbai Indians, the most successful IPL franchise in December 2018. He was bought for his base price of 80 lakhs.
He made his debut in 2019 against Chennai Super Kings. He scored only 16 runs in that innings.
His cousin brother, Prabhsimran Singh was also picked up by ‘Kings XI Punjab’ in 2019. Prabhsimran was bought for a whopping 4.8 crores.
